We employ over 40 staff between our headquarters in Aberdeen and offices in Glasgow and London - an increase of more than 25% over the last financial year.
The company started life in 1991 and has enjoyed steady growth since undergoing a MBO in 2000. Turnover has increased quite substantially over the past 3 years and we have plans for further expansion in the future, throughout the UK.
We have successfully entered the employee benefit due diligence market, an area which was traditionally dominated by national players. Having gained the support of investors and lenders throughout the UK we are becoming a national rather than a Scottish operation and we also operate in the international marketplace.
One of our biggest challenges as a company was implementing a culture change following a management buyout in 2000. Kudos changed from being a sales oriented business to one focussing on the provision of advice. An innovative company, we offer services that are not the norm; these include the provision of an employee benefits due diligence service which is supported by banks and large institutions nationwide. Also we provide a project management service, which encompasses the implementation and administration of employee benefits packages.
In order to provide a rounded and experienced offering to our clients the company works closely with legal, accountancy and actuarial professionals meaning that we can deliver a diverse consultancy and advice service.
Kudos has actively concentrated on developing relationships in both London and the Central Belt whilst still maintaining their focus on the North East of Scotland.
Longer term Kudos aim to increase turnover by 30% by 2010. As the London office grows Kudos is considering the possibility of opening additional offices throughout the UK; possible locations include The Midlands, Leeds and Manchester. Retaining the administration base for the business in Aberdeen will see Kudos continuing to contribute to the local economy. Kudos also plans to build on the success of their recent deals and become a bigger player in the international employee benefit market.
From the outset, following the management buyout in 2000, we aimed to build a solid base of clients and build up a reputation as a leading provider of employee benefit due diligence services. With 3 offices and plans to further expand our headquarters in Aberdeen we are on target to achieve exceptional growth in the coming years.
Kudos specialises in employee benefits and is one of the largest independent group pension providers in Scotland. In recent years, Kudos has developed its wealth building and trust services which can provide an exit planning strategy service for principles / shareholders selling their business.
